The Unknown Cover

Early on, I struggled to decide how many characters I wanted to feature on the cover. In my initial exploration stage, I tried a few different compositions that displayed a bit more of the story, showcasing characters and locations that would appear in the series. But I ultimately decided to go with something more dark and atmospheric to better capture the "mystery" that the story is presented as. The symbolism of the raven and the foreboding imagery of the bloody weapons perfectly evokes the dark tone that looms over Gyda - similarly echoing the themes of the story.
